Alachua Police Department officers arrested Juan Carlos Trujillo-Morales, 20, Tuesday night and charged him with false imprisonment and domestic battery.

The victim told police that she and Trujillo-Morales were in an argument while he was intoxicated.

As the argument escalated, the victim tried to leave the residence, and Trujillo-Morales reportedly grabbed her and held her down against the bed.

Two of the victim’s family members observed the incident and recorded while telling Trujillo-Morales to stop.

The arrest report states Trujillo-Morales “willfully admitted to the offense and acknowledged being the primary aggressor upon officers walking up to the door of the residence. He willfully stated that he had been drinking prior to arriving home and became involved in an argument and was ready to be arrested."

Trujillo-Morales is being held in the Alachua County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
