Alleged Batterer Appointed New Public Counsel Due to Interest Conflicts

Daquan Xavier Hill, 30, was arrested November 27 and charged with battery. 

Hill reportedly punched the victim in the face over a monetary dispute. Hill reportedly admitted to hitting the victim. 

The Public Defender’s Office made a motion to withdraw their counsel over Hill due to a conflict of interest. The motion was granted and Hill will be represented by regional counsel.
