Argument Ensues at Arbor Park Apartments, Woman Says, “I’m Gonna Call My Man, and he’s Gonna Flip Out,” Boyfriend Charged with Aggravated Assault Soon After
Kaleb Alaye Singleton, 28, was booked into jail Sunday evening on a warrant for three counts of aggravated assault.
According to the police report, the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) responded to Arbor Park Apartments on the night of June 20 after receiving reports of an armed disturbance.
The police report indicates that Singleton’s girlfriend and multiple other individuals were involved in a verbal argument, resulting in Singleton’s girlfriend stating, “I’m gonna call my man, and he’s gonna flip out.”
Soon after, Singleton reportedly “arrived on scene and subsequently produced an ARP style firearm.” Singleton and his girlfriend then “fled the scene prior to LEO arrival and made no attempts to contact LEO after the armed disturbance,” the police report states.

One of the witnesses told police she heard Singleton say he would “shoot up the place” while armed with the firearm.

Judge Robert Groeb set Singleton’s bond at $450,000.
