Convicted Batterer Released on Recognizance After Battery Arrest

Terrell D. Belton, 28, was arrested on Monday and charged with battery with a prior conviction. 

Belton reportedly thought the victim was seeing someone else and hit her in the head. Belton claimed the altercation was “horseplay.” 

Belton was found guilty and convicted in a 2021 battery case where he beat a woman and caused her severe injuries. 

Judge Susan Miller-Jones ordered that Belton be released on recognizance.
