Convicted Distributor of Child Sexual Abuse Material Serving Sentence at Coleman Low FCI
Update | May 16, 2026: Added information from federal court records and the location of Jon Crawford's current prison facility.
The United States Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of Florida announced in a press release Wednesday that Jon Walter Crawford, 36, of High Springs has been sentenced to ten years in prison for distributing sexually exploitative images of children.

According to the press release, the U.S. Office of Homeland Security and Alachua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint investigation into Crawford before he was prosecuted by U.S. attorneys.
The press release states, “Homeland Security Investigations determined that Crawford possessed over one thousand files of videos and images depicting the sexual abuse of children”
Crawford has an active account on Facebook but he hasn’t posted any pictures since June 2021.
According to his Facebook, Crawford is a Santa Fe High School graduate and studied business management at Santa Fe College. His account states he worked at Publix around March 2020, and worked as a cashier at Hitchcock's Markets from August 2020 - April 2021.
Crawford later started a job as an assistant manager at the Florida Citrus Center convenience store in January 2022, and also started a job at Dollar General in May 2023. His Facebook account indicates he worked both jobs until his arrest in September 2023.
Crawford is currently serving his prison sentence at the Coleman Low Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) with a scheduled release date of March 5, 2034.

According to the statement of facts, "Post-Miranda, Crawford admitted to receiving, possessing, and viewing child pornography with his Google Pixel 7 Pro mobile phone and Dell Inspiron Laptop computer. He explained that he received the files via an online service (Telegram) in messages and text messages and that he normally watched a video and deleted it unless it was something he liked, then he would store it for some time. Crawford stated he also received child pornography via text messages. Forensic examination of the cell phone and laptop revealed hundreds of image and video files containing child pornography. Numerous files depict prepubescent children engaged in sexual activity, including sexual contact with adults and the lascivious exhibition of the child's pubic area. The files included images of children having sex with animals, sex acts with toddlers and infants, and bondage. Videos from the CyberTips were found on the laptop. Crawford sent and received files contaning child pornography via text from his cell phone by native/instant messaging. According to the chat logs on the phone, Crawford sent a total of 13 files between September 17, 2021, and October 16, 2021; and sent 3 files on June 12, 2022."
