Convicted sexual assaulter Dawson Ley Tyler, 26, was arrested Monday on a warrant for violating his probation.

The affidavit report says Tyler failed to comply with his mandatory curfew.

Tyler has a previous arrest from last year for probation violation, also for failing to comply with curfew orders.

According to a 2019 Gainesville Sun article, Tyler “hit his girlfriend and forced her clothing off before he sexually assaulted her."

Tyler was found guilty of battery and sexual assault in 2021 and sentenced to four years in prison with 673 days time served, followed by two years of probation.

Tyler is a registered sex offender, and he currently resides in Jacksonville, according to the Florida sex offender registry.

Tyler is being held without bond.
