Update | May 22, 2026: Updated the article to include up to date information.
On October 23, 2024, Alachua County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Jordan Maurice Harrison, 21, and charged him with misdemeanor domestic battery.
According to the arrest report, Harrison became angry because the victim wanted to see his phone, prompting him to throw her to the ground and slap her.
Deputy Isaac Minck responded to the Crossings at Santa Fe Apartments. The victim’s injuries were consistent with her account of the incident.
Harrison reportedly told police, “I hit her first, and it was wrong,” and said he “push[ed]” the victim by the throat.
Harrison was released on recognizance following his arrest.
Harrison appears to be moving to Jacksonville, as his arrest report states he lives at the Crossings while his recognizance release form states he’ll be given notice of his court dates at a Jacksonville address.
On April 29, 2025, Harrison took a no contest plea deal in which he was convicted and sentenced to one year of probation.
On May 1, 2026, Harrison's probation was terminated successfully.
