Former University of Florida student Andrew Joshua Sito, 23, is currently serving a term of five years of probation in Orlando after receiving a withheld adjudication for using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. Sito was initially charged for possessing child sexual abuse material, however, prosecutors amended his charges and he then pleaded no contest at a change-of-plea hearing in June 2025.

Sito was arrested by the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) in February 2025. According to a press release, “The investigation was prompted after GPD received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The CyberTip indicated that a cloud storage account holder uploaded and stored a video of child sexual abuse material to their account. Further investigation by Detective Montague… revealed that the likely account holder was Andrew Sito... who resides at the listed location. During a post Miranda interview, Sito acknowledged that the suspect account was his old account which was deactivated, initially declining to say why. Sito would go on to acknowledge the account was deactivated for uploading child exploitation and that he possessed and uploaded the video in question. Sito stated that examiners would find evidence of more illegal content on his devices."

Although he avoided the sex offender registry, Sito is required to abide by many of the same conditions sex offenders generally have to follow, such as not going to places where children frequent.

Sito’s probation requires him to undergo annual polygraph testing and to abstain from all pornography or sexually stimulating materials.

Sito’s probation is scheduled to be completed on June 8, 2030.

Sito was trespassed from UF campus after his arrest, and his plea form states he has completed "some college" indicating he didn't graduate.

According to court records, there has been a case where UF allowed a student, Cristopher Saladino, to finish his degree online after he was charged with similar offenses to Sito's. Saladino was convicted of a plethora of child sexual abuse material and online child solicitation charges.

There don't appear to be any indications that Sito returned to UF, but it hasn't been verified if he was expelled entirely.
