Gainesville Man Arrested After Making Death Threats While Battering Woman

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Antonio Nejuan Bryant, 42, Tuesday on a warrant for false imprisonment and two counts of battery.
On May 2, Bryant “pushed the victims head back aggressively multiple times using his fingertips with an open hand” while they were sitting in a parked vehicle, according to the sworn complaint.
The victim tried to exit the vehicle and Bryant reportedly told her "you're not going nowhere" and "you're gonna sit here and listen."
The victim grabbed a sharp object from the door of the vehicle to try and defend herself. Bryant reportedly grabbed the victim’s hair and took the sharp object from her and then hit her in the mouth at least three times. During the altercation, Bryant reportedly placed the victim in a headlock and choked her.
Bryant reportedly threatened to kill the victim while battering her.

Bryant’s bond is set at $125,000.
