Gainesville Man Arrested for Pulling Door off Woman’s Car

Shaquille Tyson, 28, was arrested on Thursday and charged with criminal mischief. 

Tyson reportedly got into an argument with the victim and slammed her car door with a large amount of force. The victim locked the door, and Tyson attempted to open it. After a couple tries, Tyson pulled the door handle completely off the car. 

The damage is estimated at $200. 

Tyson reportedly denied causing the property damage. 

Tyson has been released on a $20,000 bond and has been ordered to not contact the victim.  

Tyson was found guilty of aggravated battery with a firearm in June 2022.
