Gainesville Man Arrested for Two Separate Battering Incidents

Tyree Christopher Young, 27, was arrested on Friday and charged with battery, aggravated battery and interfering with law enforcement. 

Young severely beat the victim, causing her to be hospitalized. 

Young was arrested by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office at a gas station on Archer Road. 

In September, Young was charged via sworn complaint with domestic battery by strangulation. The attack was witnessed by a neighbor who attempted to stop Young from hurting the victim. 

Young’s bond is set at $55,000.
