Gainesville Man Faces Domestic Battery Probation Violation and Drug Possession Case
Update | April 19, 2026: Updated to reflect the outcome of the 2024 case and the new case.
On October 1, 2024 Gainesville Police Department officers arrested Eric Gerrard Green, 43, and charged him with simple battery (dating violence).
The victim told police that she and Green got into an argument when she returned to the hotel room they were staying in because she found him with other girls.
Video surveillance footage caught Green shoving the victim into a vehicle three times.

Green told police the victim was being aggressive and was “getting up in his face.”
In May 2025, Green was convicted of domestic battery and sentenced to one year of probation in a no contest plea deal.
As of April 2026, Green is back in jail facing drug possession charges after officers reportedly found him with Adderall. His new arrest has caused him to be in violation of his domestic battery probation.
The probation violation report further states Green did not pay court costs and failed to provide proof of successfully completing a batterer's intervention program.
