Gainesville Man Sentenced to One Decade in Prison for Child Molestation
Yesterday, Kevin Jermaine Allen Jr., 27, was convicted of child molestation and sentenced to ten years in prison. The case was resolved through a no contest plea agreement that was accepted by Judge Susanne Bulllard.

According to the police report, Allen sexually battered an 8-year-old child who he was related to. A forensic examination and medical evaluation confirmed the sexual abuse.
Allen committed the sexual abuse in the middle of the night and the victim told a family member (witness) later in the morning.
The witness received an unsolicited text message from Allen where he says, among other things, that he got home “late last night” and that he “moved” the victim and their sibling when they slept.
Allen continued, saying that after five minutes the victim got up and went upstairs. Allen said that “10 [or] 15 mins after that” he also went upstairs to sleep. Allen said, “Maybe I scared her when I moved her or something.”

Allen was arrested in September 2024 and booked on additional drug charges that were later dropped.
In November 2024, police pressed 12 charges of possession of obscene material against Allen but the case was dropped by prosecutors and there were never any formal charges.
In 2021, Allen was charged by police with using a computer to solicit a child but the case was dropped by prosecutors and there was never any arrest or formal charges.

As of now, Allen remains in the Alachua County Jail awaiting transportation to a Florida Department of Corrections facility.
