Gainesville Man Sentenced to Year of Probation for Domestic Battery

Kevin Ryan Lebret, 25, was found guilty of domestic battery Thursday and sentenced to one year of probation. 

Lebret faced up to one year in jail for the misdemeanor but pleaded no contest in a plea deal.

Lebret was arrested in March for throwing a trash can at the victim, causing her to fall, and then punching her while she was on the ground. 

Two witnesses observed the altercation, one over FaceTime with the victim and another who was in the room during the incident. 

The victim had visible swelling and bruises on her face and back. 

Lebret’s probation requires him to complete a Batterers Intervention Program.
