On September 26, at approximately 12:40 am, Gainesville officers responded to Appletree neighborhood after a woman called in saying her son was trying to kill her. Bryan Joseph Howard, 36, drove to her residence after threatening to kill his Mother.
Howard arrived at the residence and first attempted to kick in the front door before destroying a window. Howard’s brother believed the window was shot out so he fired several shots out of the house in self-defense, causing Howard to flee.
After running away, Howard was arrested by officers. He was charged with two counts of Shooting a Deadly Missile into a Dwelling and one count of Attempted Occupied Burglary. No injuries have been reported.
