Hawthorne 19-Year Old Convicted of Using 2-Way Communication Device to Facilitate a Felony

A Hawthorne man was convicted of using a two way communication device to facilitate a felony on Tuesday and sentenced to three years of probation.
Jamal Alie Bouie, 19, was initially charged with four counts of child cruelty, four counts of lewd and lascivious battery against a victim under 16 and four counts of possessing child sexual abuse material, but all were dropped in January.

According to the sworn complaint, deputies found dozens of videos depicting an 18-year-old Bouie having sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Bouie will be required to undertake a psychosexual evaluation and not contact the victim.
