High Springs Man Arrested for Domestic Battery and Possessing Cocaine

High Springs Police Department officers arrested Abraham Billy Cannon, 44, last week and charged him with domestic battery and drug possession.

Cannon was arguing with the victim, and he wouldn’t return her car keys, according to the arrest report. 

A witness told officers they saw Cannon punching the victim several times. The victim exited the vehicle, and Cannon reportedly chased her. The victim had visible lacerations to her face. 

Police reportedly found cocaine in Cannon’s bag. 

Cannon was released on a $12,000 bond.
