High Springs Man Arrested for Violating Pretrial Release Conditions in Domestic Battery Case

On July 28, Michael W. Williamson, 45, was arrested and charged with domestic battery. 

Williamson reportedly hit the victim in the face with a steel boot. 

Following his arrest, Williamson was released on a $99 bond. He was ordered to not contact the victim or possess any weapons. 

Williamson was booked into jail yesterday on two counts of violating his pretrial release conditions. 

Prosecutors say Williamson drove to the victim’s residence on two occasions during September.

Update | Williamson was later convicted of battery and one count of violating pretrial release conditions and sentenced to two months in jail with roughly a month credit for time served, followed by a year of probation.
