Timothy Christopher Turner Jr., 32, was booked into the Alachua County Jail early Wednesday morning on a warrant for violating his sex offender probation.

Turner was initially arrested roughly six years ago on multiple charges relating to the possession and promotion of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) utilizing the online app Discord.

According to multiple news articles, Turner was a data entry analyst at the University of Florida at the time of his arrest in 2020. He reportedly used university wifi to download CSAM.

"Officers obtained a search warrant to Turner's home where he reportedly admitted to being the owner of the gaming account and obtained the images of the children and shared them to another server on Discord," CBS4 reported.

Taking a no contest plea deal in 2021, Turner was ultimately convicted for five charges relating to the possession, promotion and transmission of CSAM and sentenced to three years in prison followed by 15 years of sex offender probation.

According to his probation violation affidavit, filed by police in Hillsborough County, Turner’s geolocation monitor showed that he did not comply with his mandatory 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew. Court records indicate he was arrested by police in Hillsborough County and then transferred to Alachua County.

Officer Alexander Lubin and Supervisor Alice Flowers issued a report with more information about the violation. Their report recommends that Turner's "probation be modified to 2 years Community Control and to comply with all prior conditions imposed."

This is not the first time Turner has allegedly violated court orders. Following his arrest in 2020, Turner was released on bond with one of his pretrial release conditions being to not access the internet—no exceptions.

A few months after his release, a good samaritan took screenshots showing Turner was viewing her Instagram story indicating he violated the no-internet rule. This prompted prosecutors to make a motion to revoke his bond, but it was denied by Judge William Davis.

As of now, Turner awaits probation violation proceedings in the Alachua County Jail without bond.
