On December 23, 2025, Ignite Life Center (ILC) Church submitted a response to a lawsuit filed against them in Alachua County, denying responsibility for $1,826,527.53 in mortgage payments to GenFi Ministries.

According to their Facebook page, GenFi Ministries, formerly known as Church Extension Plan, is a “ministry providing premier financial services to the churches and districts of the Assemblies of God and their constituents, assisting them in fulfilling their vision of spreading the Gospel.”

On October 17, 2025, Jessica Erenbaum, an attorney for GeniFi Ministries, submitted a complaint stating ILC “defaulted under the Note and Mortgage by failing to make payments due July 20, 2025, and all subsequent payments thereafter, despite demand.”

On November 20, 2025, Nicole Gomez, a pastor at ILC, submitted a motion requesting an extension of time to respond to the complaint, which was granted by Judge George Wright.

On December 3, 2025, ILC notified the court that attorney Ayana Cruz would represent them, who submitted a response denying all allegations of wrongdoing later that month.

According to the case's civil cover sheet, GenFi Ministries, a nonprofit corporation, is seeking non monetary relief.

The case doesn’t have any upcoming scheduled court dates.
