Intoxicated Man Arrested on Camera After Crashing Out in Gainesville
On Saturday, January 24, Lucas Scott Lehman, 20, was arrested for causing damage to property while driving under the influence (DUI).
Lehman did significant damage, taking out a tree, and it appeared a sign was also hit in the process.

Lehman conducted a field sobriety test, with his arrest report stating he performed poorly. As officers began arresting him, a tow truck driver took his car away.
According to the arrest report, Lehman told police that “prior to the crash he consumed two shots of Crown and Patron mixed.”
According to the traffic citation, Lehman caused $500 in damage and was required to surrender his license.
Lehman was released on a $10,000 bond set by Judge Susanne Wilson Bullard.
According to his pretrial investigative summary, Lehman has a prior juvenile adjudication along with two pending criminal traffic cases. The report also references a pretrial intervention Lehman received for three counts of misdemeanor battery out of Volusia County, Daytona.

Daytona Arrest
On May 11, 2025, around 1:00 a.m., Daytona Police Department Officer Chad Alvesteffer was working detail at Razzles nightclub.
According to the arrest report, the female victim approached Alvesteffer and told him a man who was later identified as Lehman grabbed her friend’s butt. The male victim confronted Lehman, and Lehman punched him. During one attempt to hit the male victim, Lehman missed, striking a second male victim instead. Lehman also punched the female victim as she attempted to break up the altercation.
The second male victim told Alvesteffer that the suspect was a white man with curly hair wearing a black shirt.
Alvesteffer began looking around the club for the suspect and started looking outside when the female victim approached and pointed out Lehman.
Alvesteffer immediately detained Lehman and read him a Miranda warning.
Alvesteffer reported, “Lucas stated that he was only flirting and did not hit anyone. Lucas was not able to focus on questions he was asked, had an orbital sway and smelled of alcoholic beverages.”
Lehman was not charged for the sexual assault the female victim reported on behalf of her friend, but he was charged with a count of misdemeanor battery for each of the three other victims.
The three victims identified Lehman in separate show-up identifications and all stated they’d never seen him before.
Pretrial Intervention
Under the conditions of the deferred prosecution agreement, issued early September 2025, Lehman’s prosecution is deferred on all three counts for six months if he can abide by certain conditions, which include not committing new criminal acts. The document states Lehman could qualify for early termination after three months but court records don't indicate that happened.
Under the conditions of the agreement, Lehman agreed to take an eight-hour anger management course and a sexual harassment course. Lehman also agreed to not consume drugs and alcohol.
The pretrial investigative summary from his recent arrest indicates Lehman will be served a notice to appear for violating the agreement.
