Iowa Sex Offender Arrested for Registration Violation

Deputies from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office arrested registered sex offender Alfonzo Lewis, 57, Thursday and charged him with not properly registering vehicle information on his sex offender registration.
In 1996, Lewis was convicted of sexually abusing a minor in Polk County, Iowa.

The arrest report says deputies confronted Lewis about his registration violation, and he said, “I've been on this bullshit for 15 years,” and that he knew the requirements.

Lewis’ bond is set at $75,000.
