University of Florida (UF) Police Department (UFPD) officers arrested Gregory Nathaniel Colson, 64, Sunday and charged him with battery.

The victim and witness were working at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium and having a conversation about finances when their coworker, Colson, interjected, disagreeing with what they were saying.

The victim told police that Colson became irritated and punched her in the face before knocking her to the ground. Colson then punched the victim two times until the witness pulled him off her.

After UFPD officers detained Colson, he reportedly “apologized for what happened” and stated “the argument got out of hand” before confessing.

The Alachua County Jail is holding Colson on a $25,000 bond, court records show.
