Man Convicted of Exposing Genitals at Reitz Union, Sentenced to Five Days in Jail

Paul Leonard Terry, 32, was convicted of indecent exposure Tuesday and sentenced to 100 days in jail with 95 days credit for time served.

Judge William Davis accepted the plea deal, which allowed Terry to serve no probation or community control. 

According to the incident report, the victims were walking out of the Reitz Union parking garage when they saw Terry in their path while he exposed his genitals. As the victims walked past, Terry reportedly made eye contact with them. 

In October 2011, Terry was convicted of grand theft, larceny, reckless driving, fleeing police, driving without a license and resisting. He was sentenced to two years in prison with 232 days credit for time served in jail. 

In January 2018, Terry was convicted of domestic battery by strangulation for putting the victim in a chokehold while she tried to walk away from him during an altercation. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison with 261 days credit for time served in jail. 

In June 2020, Terry was convicted of burglary for breaking into another man’s house and stealing $300 in cash and a cell phone. Terry reportedly told police he was “hitting a lick.” He was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison with one year of credit for time served in jail.

In October 2022, Terry was convicted of kidnapping, battery and property damage and sentenced to 18 months in prison. According to the arrest report, Terry locked himself in a backroom at a Circle K before hitting an employee. 

Terry will be released from jail in a few days.
