Man Wearing Jason Mask Robs Chevron on Friday the 13th
On October 13, at 8:14 p.m., the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) received a call about a robbery at the Chevron on 1510 S. Main Street. Police audio indicates the suspect was a Black man with a slim build wearing a red hoodie, black pants, and a white hockey mask. Officers stated the mask bore a resemblance to Jason, the main antagonist of the horror movie series, Friday the 13th.
Officers suspected the robber ran south towards Arbor Park Apartments.
