Man Who Violated Probation in Previous Battery Case Sentenced to Probation in New Battery Case

David Alec Summers, 44, was sentenced to a year of probation last week after being found guilty of misdemeanor battery.
Summers was facing an additional stalking charge, which was later dropped by the state attorney's office.
Summers took a plea deal, which includes having no contact with the victim and serving 100 hours of community service.
According to the arrest report, Summers showed up to the victim's campsite several times without her permission. On one occasion, he punched the victim as she was walking away from him.
In another incident, Summers threw a flashlight at another victim's head, causing a laceration. Summers told police he threw the light because the victim was shining a light in his face and he could not see.
Summers was previously convicted of misdemeanor battery in September 2022 and sentenced to a year of probation. Court records show that Summers had violated his probation twice.
