Man With Bloody Hand Denies Committing Battery
Taft McClay Jasper, 48, was arrested Saturday night and charged with domestic battery.
Jasper reportedly returned home drunk and busted the victim’s lip, leaving visible injuries. A witness reported hearing the attack.
Jasper claimed that he “did not touch” the victim. Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Officer Jesse Bostick reported seeing dry blood on Jasper’s hands.
The victim told police that Jasper pushed her to the ground after punching her.
Jasper was released on recognizance. He’s been ordered to not contact the victim and not possess firearms.
Jasper’s first appearance order states he’s worked at Bank of America for one month.
