Man With Monster Energy Face Tattoo Arrested For False Imprisonment, Dating Violence and Hindering 911 Communications

David Dwayne Upton, 39, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with false imprisonment, dating violence and hindering 911 communications. 

Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Officer Charles Talton wrote on the arrest report that Upton and the victim were in a hotel room and Upton grabbed her and threatened her life when she tried to leave.

The victim broke free and went to call the police. Upton reportedly grabbed the landline from her to prevent her from calling, leaving bruises.

Upton’s bond is set at $25,000.
