New Hampshire Man Arrested in Gainesville for False Imprisonment
Anthony Joseph Marinaro (ACSO Jail)

Anthony Joseph Marinaro, 20, was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with two counts of fraud, false imprisonment, alcohol possession by a person under 21 and cannabis possession.

Marinaro met the victim at Rowdy Reptile Bar, and they went back to a hotel room.

The arrest report states Marinaro requested something from the victim that made her uncomfortable. The report doesn’t specifically state what Marinaro asked.

The victim got up to leave the hotel room after Marinaro made her uncomfortable and he followed her. The victim opened the door, and Marinaro reportedly forced it shut.

While holding the door, Marinaro reportedly told the victim, stating, “You know what you came here for" causing her to fear for her life.

The victim managed to leave the hotel room and she went to look for help.

Marinaro went back to the Rowdy Reptile Bar. Police found him in possession of fraudulent identification, cannabis and illegally possessed alcohol.
