During public comment at the Alachua County Commission meeting last week, county resident Kathleen Rupert called in about concerns regarding the Alachua County Animal Welfare Advisory Committee (AWAC).

Gregory Ahmad Pettway, 24, was arrested on Thursday and charged with kidnapping by the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) and then charged with robbery and aggravated battery by the Gainesville Police Department
Michael Scott Brannon, 39, was arrested on Saturday and charged with domestic battery.
The victim gave Brannon a ride home from his workplace in Ocala to their residence in Gainesville. Brannon reportedly appeared
