Pastor’s Nephew Booked for Battery on Alleged High Springs Rapist

A man connected to the Ignite Life Center (ILC) cases who is facing charges for allegedly pulling a gun on police is now facing an additional charge for allegedly pouring urine on an alleged sex offender.
21-year-old Victor Bruce was arrested last month on a warrant at Meridian Healthcare. His arrest came a week after he called for his uncle, ILC head pastor Mark Vega, to be arrested for forming a private meeting with other ILC pastors to cover up child sexual abuse.
Bruce was Baker Acted after his cousin, Michel Rey, told his family that Bruce said he would “shoot up the church.”
Gainesville Police Department Officer Jason Rarey is alleging that Bruce pulled a gun on him when officers served the Baker Act at his residence. Bruce denied the allegation.
Now Bruce is facing a new case for allegedly throwing a cup of urine on alleged child rapist Joshua Terrell.

Alachua County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Mark Duggar responded to the jail Tuesday afternoon and reported the following:
“The victim and defendant are both incarcerated at the Alachua County Jail in the same area. The defendant was seen on video going into his cell where he obtained a cup. The defendant then walked to the victim's cell, opened the door and threw the contents of that cup onto the victim against the victim's will before walking back to his cell.
The victim stated that the liquid that was in the cup was yellow in color and his clothes smelled of urine afterwards.
Post Miranda, the defendant stated that prior to the incident he was in a verbal altercation with the victim in the common area of the POD and the victim spit on him and called him the 'N' word. The defendant stated that due to his childhood trauma he blacked out and the next thing he remembered was reading his book inside his cell. The defendant did not recall any other details about the incident.
Video footage was obtained from the [jail] and it collaborates the victim's statement. It should be noted that at no point did the video show the victim spitting on the defendant.”
Bruce’s bond in his new case is set at $50,000, but he’s not eligible to be released with no bond in his police assault case.
