Pennsylvania Sex Offender Who Escaped Registry Sent to Florida Prison
Orlando Ocasio Jr. (ACSO Jail)

Orlando Ocasio Jr., 48, who previously escaped the Pennsylvania Sex Offender Registry, will be required to re-register in Florida after serving a ten-year prison sentence for child sexual abuse (CSA).

In the early to mid 2000s, Ocasio was convicted of indecent assault in Pennsylvania and required to register as a Tier 1 sex offender. After ten years, Ocasio was reportedly taken off the registry because the requirement expired.

Ocasio was charged for two sex offense cases in Alachua County. He was initially arrested on warrants for both cases simultaneously on February 7, 2025, with the incidents occurring in 2024.

Ocasio's Charges (Alachua County Court Records)

Ocasio was charged for one case involving an adult victim, leading to convictions for two counts of digital voyeurism. In May 2026, Ocasio entered an open-no-contest plea and Judge Susanne Wilson Bullard sentenced him to time-served credit and ten years of probation, but he remained in jail with his other case still pending.

Ocasio’s other case was against a child victim, leading to convictions for child molestation, directing/promoting child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and using a two-way communications device to commit a felony. Ocasio took a plea deal in the case last month for a ten-year prison sentence and prosecutors dropped some of his other charges. Bullard accepted the agreement.

Plea Agreement (Alachua County Court Records)

Court records note that Ocasio will be registered as a sex offender for life and the child victim consented to the agreement, wanting to avoid trial.

CSA Case:

The victim reported the CSA to one of his family members who then confronted Ocasio, who reportedly “responded by deleting unknown items off his phone and fleeing the state." Ocasio went to Pennsylvania, his home state.

Ocasio filmed himself sexually exploiting the victim and with the intent to distribute the CSAM. During one instance, Ocasio was on the phone with an unknown individual who gave directions to sexually abuse the victim.

Following the CSA, Ocasio began buying the victim gifts and sent him a nude photo of a family friend.

Digital Voyeurism Case:

The victim located a chat on Ocasio’s Facebook Messenger that showed he sent a third-party a video of her having sex with him. The victim advised she did not consent to Ocasio recording during sex and was unaware he did.

According to the police report, “The conversation was [Ocasio] advertising himself as someone who has sex with married women, or couples for money. [Ocasio] was trying to convince [the third party] to take part in this with him and to join him in sexual activities for profits and sent her the video in question as a sample claiming the victim was a client. Throughout the conversation with [the third party], [she and Ocasio] exchange nude photos and videos of themselves and discuss the pair having sex. It appears that [Ocasio] was using the video of the victim to gain further sexual gratification from [the third party] along with potentially recruiting her in having sex with other people for profit.”

On September 9, 2026, Ocasio was transferred into the custody of the Florida Department of Corrections to begin serving his sentence. He is currently housed at the Reception and Medical Center awaiting transfer to a permanent facility.

Ocasio’s scheduled release date is in 2035.
