Press Release from Mike Klein for Congress Campaign:

Track AIPAC/Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption endorses Mike Klein for Congress

Track AIPAC/Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption today endorsed Mike Klein, the Independent candidate for Congress in Florida’s 3rd Congressional District.

Track AIPAC/Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption works to “end AIPAC and the Israel lobby’s stranglehold on American Democracy, as well as big money in politics as a whole,” according to its website. The organization achieves its mission by documenting AIPAC and Israel lobby financial contributions to federal officials and supporting “candidates who refuse support from the Israel lobby and champion a foreign policy based on human rights and international law.”

Klein, a fifth-generation Floridian, West Point graduate, and Desert Storm combat veteran, is running to eliminate the influence of money in politics. With his campaign built on a foundation of respect, resilience, and responsibility, Klein believes the real strength of a nation is the wisdom to fight for peace and that war is always a last resort.

Klein rejects AIPAC and the Israel lobby outright, condemns the genocide in Gaza, supports an immediate arms embargo, and is fighting to eliminate the influence of money in politics.

“Our elected officials must be accountable to the people, not the donor class,” Klein said. “Corruption is the greatest threat facing our nation today. We must get money out of politics and remove corrupt politicians from office.”

Klein has committed to taking no special interest or corporate PAC money.

Klein is running against Republican Rep. Kat Cammack, who recently gaveled in the NDAA, which seeks unprecedented integration of U.S. and Israeli intelligence and defense technology.

“Kat Cammack held the gavel to cement our surrender, and she’s proud of it,” Klein said. “Some are calling this an act of treason. With more votes like this in Congress, I’m not sure how free any of us are.”

Track AIPAC/Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption highlighted Cammack’s pro-Israel stance in its endorsement of Klein.

“His [Klein’s] opponent, Rep. Kat Cammack, is a reliable vote for the Israel First agenda,” said Track AIPAC/Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption. “She backs unconditional U.S. weapons transfers, supports censoring speech critical of a foreign government, and has voted to sanction the International Criminal Court for pursuing arrest warrants against Israeli officials.”

Track AIPAC/Citizens Against AIPAC Corruption reported Cammack has taken $108,333 from pro-Israel PACs.

“Cammack answers to AIPAC. Klein answers to Florida,” the endorsement continued. “Vote Mike Klein in Florida’s 3rd congressional district!”

Klein has also been endorsed by the Forward Party; former Republican Governor of New Jersey Christine Todd Whitman; former Congressman and presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich; Founder of Independent Veterans of America and Executive Director of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America Paul Rieckhoff; Founder of Veterans for Peace Scott Camil; City of Jasper Mayor Jhelecia Hawkins; former Chairman of the North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce Dean Weaver; and more.

The general election is Tuesday, November 3. Early voting begins on October 19.
