RSO Arrested for Violating Sex Offender Probation by Not Participating in Lie Detector Testing

Police arrested registered sex offender (RSO) Justin Ira James Haas, 35, Monday on a warrant for violating his sex offender probation. 

In April 2013, Haas was convicted of a count of sexual battery against a victim over 12 years of age. Taking a plea deal, he was sentenced to ten years in prison followed by five years of sex offender probation.

According to the probation violation warrant affidavit, Haas violated his sex offender probation by failing to participate in annual polygraph testing.

Haas is held in the Alachua County Jail without bond and he has an arraignment scheduled for February 18.
