Shooting on SW 1st St
GPD Facebook Post on Shooting

The Gainesville Police Department (GPD) announced on their Facebook today that one person was shot at 12:45 a.m. Sunday morning near 100 SW 1st St.

GPD said the victim was “transported to a local hospital by Alachua County Fire Rescue with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.”

GPD asked for anyone with information on the shooting to contact them.
