Court records show that Pretrial Officer Yvette Isaac filed a report of violation on Saladino in April 2025 after his internet monitor flagged him for keywords included in his typing patterns. Some of the statements typed by Saladino were shown to be sexual and disturbing, but Judge William Davis determined that no action was necessary.

On June 12, 2025, Cris Saladino was convicted of numerous charges relating to child sexual abuse and possession of child sexual abuse material in a no contest plea deal. With Davis presiding, Saladino was sentenced to two years of sex offender community control followed by three years of sex offender probation.

Court records show that just a few days prior, defense counsel submitted a large memorandum in favor of a downward departure sentence that is entirely redacted.

In November 2025, Judge Robert Groeb granted a motion from Saladino's defense allowing him to have supervised contact with a minor female family member.

Court documents from early on in Saladino's case show the University of Florida let him finish his education online.

September 2024 Motion to Modify Pretrial Release that was Granted by Davis (Alachua County Court Records)

On August 7, 2024 the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) Internet Crimes Against Children Division (ICAC) served a search warrant at 2617 NW 3rd Ave in response to receiving a tip that an Instagram user at the location possessed online child sexual abuse material.

GPD’s press release states that Cristopher Carson Saladino, 21, resides at the aforementioned address and was revealed to be the likely account holder.

The press release goes on to state, “Records showed that Saladino, as a minor and adult, was previously investigated by another law enforcement agency for similar incidents. However, due to his age and circumstances, charges were not filed.”

During Saladino's police interview he initially denied ownership of the Instagram account before later admitting ownership and saying he didn’t know the abusive materials he shared were of a child.

Saladino was reportedly exchanging messages with nearly a dozen underaged children.

The press release indicates that Saladino told minors he was a minor and received explicit materials from them.

Saladino was charged with one count of child pornography distribution, however, the press release implies a full analysis of his electronic devices may lead to more charges.

Saladino‘s LinkedIn says he‘s a construction management student at the University of Florida (UF) and the President of The Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) Student Chapter at UF.
