The Florida Department of Law Enforcement Asks For Help in Locating Several Gainesville Sex Offenders

On Wednesday, August 9, the Gainesville Police Department announced the Florida Department of Law Enforcement(FDLE), working jointly with the Alachua County Sheriff's Office and GPD, arrested eight sex offenders in a two-week operation to conduct physical address verifications of registered sexual offenders and sexual predators in Alachua County. GPD also announced FDLE was asking for assistance in locating eleven registered sex offenders and/or registered sexual predators who are no longer residing at the last reported address given to the Florida Sexual Offender Registry. Absconders:

Randall Irwin Ray, 48, registered as a sex offender for committing statutory rape against a minor in 1999. His last reported address is in Gainesville. He has tattoos on his right hand, back, and both arms. As of this writing, Ray has not been confined.

Kendrick Leon Young, 35, registered as a sex offender for committing lewd or lascivious battery against a victim 12 to 15 years of age in 2012. His last reported address is in Gainesville. He has tattoos on his back and right hand. As of this writing, Young has not been confined.

Timothy James Curtin, 52, registered as a sexual predator in for committing sexual battery against a physically helpless victim in 1998. His last reported address is in Gainesville. He has several tattoos on his right shoulder, right hand, right arm, right chest, left arm, and left hand. As of this writing, Curtin has not been confined.

Wayne Jamar Solomon, 40, registered as a sexual predator for committing lewd or lascivious battery against a victim 12-15 years old in 2003. His last reported address is in Gainesville. He has tattoos on his left arm, right shoulder, right arm, and neck. As of this writing, Solomon has not been confined.

Frederick Bernard Dobson, 31, registered as a sex offender for committing lewd or lascivious battery against a victim 12 to 15 years of age in 2016. His last reported address is in Micanopy. He has scars on his right arm. As of this writing, Dobson has not been confined.

Theophilus Joe Preston Jr, 71, registered as a sexual predator for committing sexual battery against a victim under 12 years old in 2004. His last reported address is in Gainesville. He has a scar on his left hand. As of this writing, Preston has not been confined.

Akeem Reshard Crumtie, 25, was registered as a juvenile sex offender for committing lewd or lascivious molestation against a victim under 12 years old in 2013. His last reported address is in Gainesville. He has tattoos on both arms. As of this writing, he has not been confined.

Anthony Raynard Hathcock Jr, 44, registered as a sexual predator for committing sexual battery against a minor between 12 and 17 years of age in 1999. His last reported address is in Gainesville. He has several tattoos on both arms and shoulders, as well as his chest and back. As of this writing, Hathcock has not been confined.

Che Ve Laneal Tarver, 56, registered as a sex offender for three counts of lewd or lascivious sexual battery on a child under 16 years of age and one count of attempted lewd or lascivious sexual assault on a child under 16 years of age in 1990. His last reported address is in Gainesville. He has scars on his right shoulder, right arm, and face. He also has a tattoo on his right shoulder. As of this writing, Tarver has not been confined.

Ajaquan Malik Walker, 21, registered as a juvenile sexual offender for committing sexual battery against a victim under 12 years old in 2020. His last reported address is in Gainesville. Walker has been confined since GPD announced his abscondment.

‌Keith Larmont Garrison, 49, registered as a sex offender for committing lewd or lascivious battery against a victim under 16 years of age in 2001. His last reported address is in Gainesville. Garrison has been confined since GPD announced his abscondment.

Arrestees:

Paul Davon Tschaka Shackelford, 46, was arrested for committing sexual battery against a victim over 18 years old and possessing a controlled substance without a prescription. Shackelford is not a registered sexual offender, but he would qualify for registration if convicted of his sexual battery charge. Shackelford was living in Gainesville at the time of his arrest.

Ronnie Laron Williams, 51, was arrested for failing to register changes to his cellular phone and providing false sex offender registration information. Williams was registered as a sex offender for committing lewd assault/sexual battery against a victim under the age of 16 in 2000. He has a scar on his face and many tattoos on both arms and hands, as well as his back, stomach, and left shoulder. Williams was living in Gainesville at the time of his arrest. As of this writing, he has been released and is subject to registration.

Samuel Caraballo, 41, was arrested for violating his probation. Caraballo was registered as a sex offender for committing lewd or lascivious molestation against a victim who was 12-15 years old in 2004. He has a scar on his face and tattoos on his back, shoulders, and arms. Caraballo was living in Gainesville at the time of his arrest. As of this writing, he is serving a court-ordered term of community monitoring under the authority of the Florida Department of Corrections.

Jose Bautista-Cruz, 60, was arrested on six counts of providing false sex offender registration information. Cruz was registered as a sex offender for committing aggravated sexual battery in 1996. He has a tattoo on his left arm. Cruz was living in Gainesville at the time of his arrest. As of this writing, he has been released and is subject to registration.

Taurus Cordarryl Duncan, 34, was arrested for two counts of failing to report his transient address every 30 days. He was registered as a sex offender for committing lewd or lascivious battery against a victim 12 to 15 years of age in 2008. He has tattoos on both hands and arms. He was living in Gainesville at the time of his arrest. As of this writing, he has been released and subject to registration.

Tommie Charlie Howard, 37, was arrested for failing to report an email address or internet identifier as a sex offender. Howard was registered as a sex offender for committing sexual battery in 2014. He has tattoos on both arms. He was living in Hawthorne at the time of his arrest. As of this writing, he is confined.

Travis Dewayne Watkins, 44, was arrested for violating his probation. Watkins was registered as a sex offender for committing two counts of lewd or lascivious battery against a victim under 16 years of age in 2012. He has a tattoo on his right arm. He was living in Hawthorne at the time of his arrest. As of this writing, he is confined.

Kevin Ray Frutiger, 35, was arrested for a count of failing to report a change in vehicles and four counts of providing false sex offender registration information. Frutiger was registered as a sex offender for committing aggravated criminal sexual abuse against a victim who was between 13 and 16 years old in 2017. He has scars on his face and left arm and a tattoo on his right arm. Frutiger was living in Illinois at the time of his arrest. However, he was previously a resident of Gainesville. As of this writing, he has been released and is subject to registration.
