Gainesville Man Arrested for Cyberstalking After Sending Multiple Sexually Explicit Messages
Tuesday night, Gainesville Police Department officers arrested Jeremy Clete Alford, 54, and charged him with misdemeanor domestic cyberstalking. The arrest report indicates a timeline of events throughout the day:
6:58 AM - Alford contacts the victim through their child’s Gizmo smart watch. Alford tells the victim he “downloaded the Grindr smartphone application” and said that “cum tastes like bleach.” The victim told Alford that he was being inappropriate and disconnected. Alford called the victim again but she did not answer.
7:02 AM - Alford begins calling the victim through a co-parenting application, as she blocked him from contacting her normally due to his behavior, and wanted their communication to be documented.
7:02 AM - 12:07 PM - Alford calls the victim approximately six times between 7:02 AM and 7:32 AM, and sends 21 messages up until 12:07 PM. Only two messages were concerning their child, while the rest served no legitimate purpose.
Officer Aaron Stemen reported that “the messages primarily revolved around [Alford] telling the victim about his new sexual encounters, including photos of another female, or condescending messages targeted at the victim and her boyfriend.”
The arrest report gives several examples of Alford’s harassing messages, which he reportedly admitted to sending.
Stemen indicated that Alford made contradictory statements in an attempt to explain his purpose for contacting the victim.

Judge Meshon Rawls ordered Alford to be released on recognizance under the condition that he have no contact with the victim.
Alford, who is reportedly employed at Aflac Insurance, told the court he intends to seek representation from a private attorney.
