Gainesville Woman Arrested for Posting Picture of Rape, Released on Recognizance

Gainesville Police Department officers arrested Terra Maeshawn Tillman, 26, Tuesday and charged her with sexual cyber harassment.
According to the arrest report, Monday afternoon the victim received text messages from several concerned family members about a sexually explicit photo of herself that Tillman turned into her Facebook profile photo.
The arrest report further reveals that the photo depicted the victim being tied up and raped. The identity of the rapist is currently unclear, but GPD Officer Gregory Meshes reported, “The photo and incident has already been resolved through the legal system and was a few years ago. The man in the sexual photo texted the photo to friends and family, and that was how [Tillman] had access to the photo.”
Tillman told police that she posted the rape photo because the victim photoshopped a picture of her face on a gorilla body and posted it. Tillman said that after a few hours she “realized what she did was stupid and deleted the photo,” the arrest report states.
Tillman was released on recognizance under the condition she not contact the victim.
