Man Arrested for Felony Domestic Violence
Alachua County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) deputies arrested Jayden Martin Luna, 22, on Sunday and charged him with aggravated domestic battery. His arrest comes roughly a month after another aggravated battery incident that he was not arrested for. Both are felony charges.
On February 9, Luna reportedly punched the victim when she was removing a car seat from his truck at his request. The victim explained to police that after being struck, she retreated to her residence. As she began walking inside, Luna exited his vehicle and approached her, stating he wanted to get personal items from her residence. Soon after, Luna reportedly punched the victim again.
The victim had visible injures and she received medical treatment.
Luna was charged for this incident, however he was not arrested and it doesn’t appear a warrant was ever issued. “Deputies were unable to locate [Luna] and complete a post Miranda interview due to him leaving the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival,” reported Deputy Daei Duane Thompson.
On March 22, 2026, deputies again responded after Luna reportedly battered the victim and this time they arrested him.
According to the arrest report, “investigation discovered that during a verbal altercation, [Luna] headbutted the victim causing noticeable bruising and swelling to the right orbital bone portion of her eye consistent with being struck. The strike also caused one of [the victim’s] teeth in her bottom right portion of her jaw to chip along the top section and [it] felt loose.”
Luna has no bond pending a pretrial detention motion by the State Attorney’s Office.
