At the Gainesville City Commission meeting this morning, Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward said he had positive discussions with members of the Florida legislature on Tuesday ahead of the legislative session.

Remi Dean Santos Coniconde, 26, was arrested on Saturday and charged with domestic battery.
The victim stated Coniconde had been drinking and looked through her phone. Coniconde found the victim texting her boyfriend
David Allen Carlisle, 44, was arrested Friday night and charged with domestic battery.
The victim told police Carlisle left their house 15 minutes after she and two family members who witnessed the incident
