Convicted Child Solicitor Sent to Florida State Prison
On July 31, Alexander William Callison, 30, was transferred to Florida State Prison to serve a 15-year prison sentence for child sexual abuse . He was convicted of ten counts of online child solicitation, five counts of transmitting harmful material to a minor using an electronic device, two counts of possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and three counts of directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child.
The case was resolved through a no-contest plea agreement that was accepted by Judge Susanne Wilson Bullard.
Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officers arrested Callison in June 2025 after a months-long investigation. Police reviewed chat-logs where Callison engaged in sexually-charged conversations with other Kik users who identified themselves as children.
One of the chat logs appears to show Callison attempting to purchase CSAM. Callison said he was interested in “girls 2-5” before asking “What youngest you have” and “Price?”
According to the arrest report, Callison’s Kik username for the majority of his offenses was “trilobite.23,” but he also possessed CSAM using another account with the username “ryyydee223”.
When speaking to police, Callison initially denied ownership of the “trilobite.23” account. When shown content he sent on the account where he was masturbating, he “stated that the videos are of him and that he used Kik to connect with other people because he felt lonely and wanted to feel wanted.”
The “ryyydee223” account was associated with a second cybertip, in which Callison “uploaded and distributed” a CSAM video on Kik where a pre-pubescent child was victimized. When questioned about this, Callison advised that his behaviors had gotten worse and that he acquired the CSAM from other Kik users.
Detective Donna Montague reported, “When asked when the first time was that he began using Kik to solicit content from minors and/or receive and/or distribute [CSAM], he stated that ‘it goes back’ before the initial CyberTip. When asked when the last time was that he used Kik, he stated a ‘few days ago’ before he deleted the application from his cellphone. [Callison] stated that he knows what he did was wrong and that he lives with that guilt. He stated that he was waiting for his behavior to catch up with him and wasn't surprised that LEO made contact with him.”
Callison is scheduled to be released from prison in 2040. His prison sentence will be followed by ten years of sex offender probation.
