Jury Finds Man Not Guilty in Walmart Shooting Case

Last month, a jury acquitted Drevon Parker of attempted second degree murder, attempted felony murder and armed trespassing.

State Attorney Brian Kramer's Office of the Eighth Judicial Circuit had alleged that Parker attempted to kill the alleged victim at the Butler Plaza Walmart in April 2025.

Parker was held in pretrial detention for over a year before his trial. He could've been sentenced to 35 years in prison if he was found guilty.

GnvInfo was not present at the trial, but court documents indicate that Parker argued self-defense.

"While being physically battered by the alleged victim, retreating, and fearing for his safety, Mr. Parker drew a firearm and shot the alleged victim in self-defense."

The records in Parker’s case are voluminous, with hundreds of pages of documents in his court file.

Parker still faces a civil lawsuit that was filed by counsel for the alleged victim.
